Installation Technicians are responsible for installation of AV systems and performing general labor as assigned at customer job locations. Local and regional travel will be required for this position.

We provide all the tools and training you will need, if you can provide an eagerness to learn, a solid mechanical aptitude – especially if you are comfortable with general construction standards and operating hand tools. If you can complete structured cabling projects (pulling, terminations, testing), follow CAD elevations and system schematics, can read engineering drawings/specification sheets and/or lead small to mid-level installation projects without control/Audio DSP, we want to talk to you for one of our mid-level technician roles!

The Installation Technician Foreman will manage the schedule, job assignment and daily work progress of 12 Installation Technicians on the operations team located in Kansas City, MO, Omaha, Wichita, Columbia and St. Louis. Position is based in KCMO but will require frequent local and regional travel to job sites and other KCAV branch locations.

  • Oversee the day-to-day activity of the technicians and provide daily coaching and guidance in the field for skill development and long-term
  • Organize and communicate all job documentation before and during installation
  • Ensure that communication remains consistent throughout the project with all applicable stakeholders, which may include Project Manager, Lead Installation Technician, general contractors, customer, internal technical group, programmers, etc.
  • Lead small to mid-level projects and/or act as a site supervisor during certain stages of larger projects
  • Train clients on non-controlled room systems
  • Perform installation of AV systems including cabling and terminations, rack assembly and equipment installation components such as speakers, displays, projectors, screens and cameras
  • Perform assembly, installation and repair of equipment, materials and systems as directed, specified and required in the work orders and project documentation


  • Prior supervisory or lead position experience in installation operations or related field
  • 2 plus years of experience in AV installation
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision while executing within tight deadlines
  • Essentials of AV certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Must be able or willing to learn how to read and comprehend engineering drawings and specification sheets
  • Proficient in the structured cabling of projects which includes pulling, terminating and testing all cable and wiring associated with audio/video cables
  • Proven ability to adhere and follow CAD elevations and system schematics
  • Ability to train clients on non-controlled room systems
  • Must have a basic understanding of general construction standards
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude and be able to use standard tools hand tools
  • Must have basic computer skills and be comfortable with learning and operating new phone apps to enter job information and record time
  • Basic math skills like measure, divide, multiple and add/subtract
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to pass a background check (including pre-employment drug screening

Summary: Perform a variety of general labor as assigned for the summer (approximately May through September) - has a possibility to become permanent

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of tasks as assigned to assist with general warehouse operations
  • Load and unload trucks at KCAV warehouses and/or customer sites including unwrapping items, and moving items to designated locations
  • Perform janitorial duties including sweep warehouses, property, or work areas, take out trash, clean, break down boxes/packaging, mow the grass, etc.
  • Perform miscellaneous manual labor as assigned
  • Assist Installation Technicians and Service Technicians as assigned
  • Comply with KCAV operating policies, practices, and procedures
  • Adhere to all safety rules, procedures and policies and report all unsafe conditions/injuries to the Warehouse Manager immediately
  • Maintain a professional image including in appearance, attitude and communication with customers, co-workers and members of the public while representing KCAV
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required
  • Frequent local travel to job sites and Grandview warehouse location required
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

  • Class B Commercial Driver License is preferred but not required

The Project Manager will plan, organize, direct, and control project activities required for effective management of assigned integrated audio-visual installation projects from startup to closeout for KCAV including:

  • Provide information to applicable parties after determining labor and material requirements needed to complete project within the presented financial parameters to meet profitability goals
  • Coordinate with Engineering Department on design and drafting phases of jobs
  • Prepare the project installation plan, manage the job plans and specifications and prepare and implement job procedures
  • Plan, schedule and forecast internal engineering and installation staff for assigned audio-visual installation projects, working closely with Installation Technician Foreman to schedule the job
  • Manage subcontractors for the project including maintaining construction schedule, coordinating task scheduling with other trades, selecting subcontractors and monitoring performance of subcontractors
  • Coordinate the procurement of materials, supplies and services and arrange for timely delivery to appropriate location
  • Serve as central point of contact for project and prepare progress reports, and facilitate communication with all applicable parties on a regular and timely basis appropriate to the scope of project including preparing progress reports
  • Maintain project records in Q360 and ensure the data is updated regularly so reports are current and accurate at all times

What you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management and/or installation of audio-visual systems, or equivalent experience in a similar industry
  • Must have demonstrated planning skills and demonstrated knowledge of installation operations
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; prior experience with Solutions Q360 preferred but not required
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to pass a background check (including pre-employment drug screening)

This position is based at the KCAV headquarters in Kansas City, MO, and after training, is eligible for a hybrid arrangement. Local/regional travel throughout the Kansas City Metro Area and the central Midwest will be required regularly.

The Sales Support Specialist will provide administrative support to assigned KCAV Sales Consultant(s) including process orders, prepare quotes and bids, and provide excellent customer service.

  • Create, input and manage all information in Q360 for opportunities, quotes and quick lists as requested by sales consultant
  • Obtain and document all information necessary to complete opportunities, quotes and quick lists including purchasing information (quote/bid #, special pricing notes, source/vendor), client information (credit application, tax exemption)
  • Process new orders in Q360 working closely with the client, sales consultant, and Finance to confirm information is complete and accurate
  • Maintain all pricing information for each order or quote in accordance with internal procedures
  • Complete product registrations for pricing as requested by sales consultant
  • Process hardware only bids including request pricing, prepare bid and gather all necessary information
  • Maintain and update all assigned customer data in Q360 to ensure it is current and accurate
  • Update order information as appropriate throughout the sales life cycle (order status, estimated ship dates, client instructions)
  • Provide administrative support to sales consultant
  • Provide excellent customer service to assist the client with issues and promptly escalate to the sales consultant as necessary
  • Assist Finance with checking open POs for status updates

What you will need:

  • You have at least 1 year of administrative support, customer service and/or data entry experience – AV industry is great but not required
  • You are a self-starter who excels when working independently and you have excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and are comfortable learning new programs quickly (we use Solutions Q360 and although experience with Q360 will be a big plus, it is not required)
  • You have excellent organizational skills, a high attention to detail, and are an expert communicator in English both verbally and written
  • You must be able to pass a background check (including pre-employment drug screening) and you must have a high school diploma or equivalent

This position can be based at the KCAV headquarters in Kansas City, MO, or at the KCAV regional office in Omaha, NE.

The Marketing Manager will oversee and manage the company-wide marketing functions and handle all public relations for KCAV including:

  • Manage and promote the KCAV public brand by developing a brand guide and corresponding marketing materials, including flyers, web page and digital signage graphics, case studies, and presentations.
  • Direct all tradeshow activities, including development of presentation descriptions, submission of MDF requests, and management of tradeshow logistics
  • Manage all aspects of social media to include generating regular content, monitoring engagement levels, and reviewing analytics to ensure effectiveness.
  • Create, develop, and implement all email marketing campaigns, including a monthly newsletter.
  • Oversee and contribute to production of regular blog posts.
  • Work closely with external and internal training developers to maintain a consistent brand within training programs.
  • Coordinate, promote and host KCAV webinars.
  • Develop regional marketing campaigns to drive sales.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field and/or an equivalent level of experience plus 3+ years of brand, marketing, and social media management and 1+ years of tradeshow and/or large event management experience
  • Previous audio-visual industry experience is a bonus, but it is not required
  • Ability to work independently, a high-level of organization, and detail oriented.
  • Fluency in all mainstream social media platforms, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and HTML email design

This position can be based remotely, at the KCAV headquarters in Kansas City, MO, at the KCAV regional office in Omaha, NE or a hybrid arrangement. Core work hours are in the Central Time Zone and local/regional travel throughout the central Midwest will be required occasionally. Candidates based in MO, KS, NE or IL will be given preference but will consider highly qualified candidates located anywhere within the US.

Because of our growth, we need a dedicated Sales Director who will oversee and lead the Sales and Marketing strategies for KCAV including:

  • Collaborate with President to develop sales strategies
  • Develop and ensure corporate revenue and margin objectives are met
  • Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports; use data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets
  • Develop and communicate sales forecasts to the Leadership Team
  • Identify and analyze customer preferences to properly direct sales effort
  • Resolve customer issue
  • Work closely with manufacturers and suppliers to achieve business objectives
  • Identify new market segments that will benefit from company product
  • Oversee broad range of marketing activities including advertising campaigns, industry trade shows, promotional activities and events
  • Analyze target-market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches
  • Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget
  • Develop existing sales team and build team as appropriate
  • Develop sales compensation plans
  • Assign territories and set quotas for sales team and actively manage

What you will need:

  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven success in the AV industry or related technology industry
  • Proven success in scaling a sales organization
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing and developing a sales organization
  • Experience in developing sales territories and quotas in a growing sales organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong supervisory and leadership skills

Ideally the successful candidate will be based at our KCAV headquarters in Kansas City, MO, or one of the KCAV branch offices in Omaha, NE or Columbia, MO, so candidates based in MO, KS, or NE will be given preference. However, we will consider a remote/hybrid arrangement for very highly qualified candidates who are based elsewhere in the US.
