Senior HR Generalist – Kansas City, MO
KCAV is a family owned, rapidly growing audio-visual equipment installation and service company with 70+ employees in KS, MO, NE and in remote locations.
The Senior HR Generalist will be the sole HR practitioner at KCAV with responsibilities including processing bi-weekly payroll, benefits administration, performance reviews/assessment, talent acquisition, promotion of core values and resolving HR-related issues that arise. This role will also advise Leadership Team on best practices and provide guidance/risk analysis to President.
This position has potential to serve on the leadership team and may have one direct report. This is an on-site position in Kansas City. Hiring range is $55,000 to $70,000 with bonus potential.
Ideal Candidates will have:
- At least 4 years of experience in a generalist role, preferably as a sole practitioner, with a solid understanding of benefits and employee relations; and have a good understanding of employment law as it applies to these areas including FMLA, ACA, Title VII and ADA
- At least 2 years of experience processing payroll from start to finish independently (we use Solutions Q360 and Paychex for our time keeping/payroll systems and although experience with these will be a big plus, it is not required)
- Experience with all aspects of the talent acquisition process in a high growth environment
- Experience coordinating events and employee engagement activities for a multi-state, remote and on-site work force
- Self-starter who excels when working independently and has excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new programs quickly
- Excellent organizational skills, a high attention to detail, and an expert communicator in English both verbally and written
- Selected candidate must be able to pass a background check (including pre-employment drug screening) and have a high school diploma or equivalent

Accounting Manager – Kansas City, MO
KCAV is a family owned, rapidly growing audio-visual equipment installation and service company with 70+ employees in KS, MO, NE and in remote locations.
The Accounting Manager manages the accounting department and oversees the daily operations of processes related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fiscal period close-out for KCAV. This position supervises the Accounting Clerk. This is an on-site position in Kansas City. Hiring range is $75,000 to $85,000 with bonus potential.
- Manages the accounting department, who is responsible for accounts payable, customer billing, collections, account reconciliation, and periodic fiscal close-out
- Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Coordinates training for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff
- Manages and oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, including:
- Accounts payable and vendor payments
- Vendor statement analysis and resolution of disputes and discrepancies
- Continuous coordination with purchasing and operations to ensure accuracy and legitimacy of vendor invoices and claims
- Assists with vendor account setup and review as necessary
- Accounts receivable, customer billing, and customer deposits
- Cash, check and credit card deposits
- Resolution of customer invoice disputes and discrepancies
- Assists with customer account setup and review as necessary
- General ledger account reconciliation and journals, as required
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods and policies
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
- Participate in discussions with banking, accounting system, customer, and vendor representatives where topics are applicable to accounting operations or improved processes or relations
- Retain appropriate supporting documentation
- Establishing and maintaining an effective system of internal controls
- Compliance with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
- Compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
- Accounts payable and vendor payments
- Assists CFO with periodic financial reporting, audit objectives, and other fiscal activities
- Ensures business processes are documented for business continuity
- Performs ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
Ideal Candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field and/or an equivalent level of knowledge and experience is required
- Six years or more of related experience preferred
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
- Must have a demonstrated mastery of standard accounting principles and practices, and strong business acumen
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English including the ability to confidently represent the company in negotiations with vendors and customers
- Demonstrated problem solving skills are required
- Must have a high attention to detail while working independently
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced demonstrated knowledge of Excel; prior experience with Q360 or similar ERP preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving recordMust be able to pass a background check (including pre-employment drug screening)

Sales Support Specialist – Kansas City, MO
Founded in 1953, Kansas City Audio-Visual (KCAV) creates engaging spaces to learn, work, and share, by designing, installing, and supporting audio-visual and communication systems throughout the Midwest. This position is based on-site at the KCAV headquarters in Kansas City, MO.
The Sales Support Specialist will provide administrative support to assigned KCAV Sales Consultant(s) including process orders, prepare quotes and bids, and provide excellent customer service. This is an on-site position in Kansas City.
What you will need:
- You have at least 4 years of experience in a sales support, outside sales customer support in an office setting, and/or specialized order/quote/sales data entry/administrative support role– AV industry is great but not required
- You are a self-starter who excels when working independently and you have excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and are comfortable learning new programs quickly (we use Solutions Q360 and although experience with Q360 will be a big plus, it is not required)

Audio-Visual Installation Technicians – Kansas City, MO
Kansas City Audio-Visual (KCAV) is growing and we are hiring all levels of technicians in Kansas City, MO! Installation Technicians are responsible for installation of AV systems and performing general labor as assigned at customer job locations. Local and regional travel will be required for this position.
This is a perfect entry level opportunity to start your career in the AV Installation Industry!
We provide all the tools and training you will need, if you can provide an eagerness to learn, a solid mechanical aptitude – especially if you are comfortable with general construction standards and operating hand tools. You will also need a valid driver license/acceptable driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. We have one Project Manager position open, based at the Columbia, MO office. After on-site training is completed, both may be eligible for a hybrid arrangement. Local/regional travel throughout the home base metro area and the central Midwest will be required regularly.
The Project Manager will plan, organize, direct, and control project activities required for effective management of assigned integrated audio-visual installation projects from startup to closeout for KCAV including:
- Provide information to applicable parties after determining labor and material requirements needed to complete project within the presented financial parameters to meet profitability goals
- Coordinate with Engineering Department on design and drafting phases of jobs
- Prepare the project installation plan, manage the job plans and specifications and prepare and implement job procedures
- Plan, schedule and forecast internal engineering and installation staff for assigned audio-visual installation projects, working closely with Installation Technician Foreman to schedule the job
- Manage subcontractors for the project including maintaining construction schedule, coordinating task scheduling with other trades, selecting subcontractors and monitoring performance of subcontractors
- Coordinate the procurement of materials, supplies and services and arrange for timely delivery to appropriate location
- Serve as central point of contact for project and prepare progress reports, and facilitate communication with all applicable parties on a regular and timely basis appropriate to the scope of project including preparing progress reports
- Maintain project records in Q360 and ensure the data is updated regularly so reports are current and accurate at all times
What you will need:
- 5+ years of experience in project management and/or installation of audio-visual systems, or equivalent experience in a similar industry
- Demonstrated planning skills and demonstrated knowledge of installation operations
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; prior experience with Solutions Q360 preferred but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a background check (including pre-employment drug screening)
