Audio-Visual (AV) Installation Technician II
– Columbia, MO
KCAV is a family owned, rapidly growing audio-visual equipment installation and service company with 70+ employees in KS, MO, NE and in remote locations.
We are hiring a mid-level technician in Columbia, Missouri. Installation Technicians are responsible for installation of AV systems and performing general labor as assigned at customer job locations. Local and regional travel will be required for this position. This is a mid-level technician role for someone who has prior AV installation experience.

Ideal Candidates:
- Have 1 year of audio-visual (AV) commercial installation
- Be able to complete structured cabling projects (pulling, terminations, testing)
- Can read engineering drawings/specification sheets and/or lead small to mid-level installation projects without control/Audio DSP
- Have a valid driver/license and acceptable driving record
- Huge plus (but not required) if you are CTS certified, have familiarity with audio configuration, and/or have experience with control systems like Crestron or Extron
- Selected candidate must be able to pass a background check (including pre-employment drug screening) and have a high school diploma or equivalent

Operations Specialist
– Kansas City, MO
KCAV is a family owned, rapidly growing audio-visual equipment installation and service company with 70+ employees in KS, MO, NE and in remote locations.
Perform a variety of administrative and customer service duties to support and assist Project Managers and the Operations Team.
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday-Friday
Work Location: In-person
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assign Project Manager to each new project created
- Create purchase orders for any subcontractors used on a project
- Create/Assist in internal change orders for projects as directed by Project Managers
- Create/Assist in customer change orders for projects as directed by Project Managers
- Track materials and provide Project Managers with Estimated Ship Dates on all outstanding product not received
- Update Request Dates on all product not received on projects as updates are received from vendors
- Create new Master numbers for new products as needed in Q360
- Support Project Managers as requested on updating projects in Q360
- Perform a variety of administrative duties to support the Project Managers and the Operations Team
- Actively participate in personal and professional development opportunities offered by KCAV to maintain knowledge of current and new KCAV/industry technologies
- Comply with KCAV operating policies, practices, and procedures
- Adhere to all safety rules, procedures and policies and report all unsafe conditions/injuries to the Director of Operations immediately
- Maintain a professional image including in appearance, attitude and communication with customers, co-workers, and members of the public as outlined in company manual while representing KCAV

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- 1+ years of administrative support, customer service and/or data entry experience
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and prior experience in Q360 is preferred but is not required
- Ability to operate all standard office equipment – fax/copier/printers, etc.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Must have excellent organizational skills and a high attention to detail while working independently
- Must be able to pass a background check (including pre-employment drug screening)

Work Environment: The work environment is normally an indoor, climate-controlled office, but could occasionally include a warehouse. Noise levels are usually low.

Founded in 1953, Kansas City Audio-Visual (KCAV) creates engaging spaces to learn, work, and share by designing, installing, and supporting audio-visual and communication systems throughout the Midwest.
We have one Project Manager position open, based at the Kansas City, MO office. After on-site training is completed, both may be eligible for a hybrid arrangement. Local/regional travel throughout the home base metro area and the central Midwest will be required regularly.
The Project Manager will plan, organize, direct, and control project activities required for effective management of assigned integrated audio-visual installation projects from startup to closeout for KCAV including:
- Provide information to applicable parties after determining labor and material requirements needed to complete project within the presented financial parameters to meet profitability goals
- Coordinate with Engineering Department on design and drafting phases of jobs
- Prepare the project installation plan, manage the job plans and specifications and prepare and implement job procedures
- Plan, schedule and forecast internal engineering and installation staff for assigned audio-visual installation projects, working closely with Installation Technician Foreman to schedule the job
- Manage subcontractors for the project including maintaining construction schedule, coordinating task scheduling with other trades, selecting subcontractors and monitoring performance of subcontractors
- Coordinate the procurement of materials, supplies and services and arrange for timely delivery to appropriate location
- Serve as central point of contact for project and prepare progress reports, and facilitate communication with all applicable parties on a regular and timely basis appropriate to the scope of project including preparing progress reports
- Maintain project records in Q360 and ensure the data is updated regularly so reports are current and accurate at all times
What you will need:
- 5+ years of experience in project management and/or installation of audio-visual systems, or equivalent experience in a similar industry
- Demonstrated planning skills and demonstrated knowledge of installation operations
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; prior experience with Solutions Q360 preferred but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

- Work closely with current sales staff to develop skills and gain experience.

Senior Engineer
– Kansas City, MO
KCAV is a family owned, rapidly growing audio-visual equipment installation and service company with 70+ employees in KS, MO, NE and in remote locations.
We are currently seeking to fill a Senior Engineer position in Kansas City. Desirable candidates are able to work independently and as part of a team, with limited supervision at times, and are highly organized and hard working.
In this position, you will serve as the technical representative for KCAV to our customers and their corresponding teams. You will be responsible for reviewing and refining bills of materials to ensure that the parts will create a fully functional system in accordance with the scope of work. You will be responsible for working with our drafting team to develop full AV drawing packages that communicate all infrastructure requirements and system configurations to the project team, both internally and externally.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Overseeing the Development of AV Architectural Drawings, System Flows, Cable/Conduit Risers, Product Detail pages
- Reviewing and refining Bills of Material

- Communicating AV Networking requirements to Client’s Network teams
- Facilitating the quality of the deliverables

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS & COURSES:
